Freddy is the main antagonist, as well also being the main animatronic in Five Nights at Freddy's.
In the first game Freddy is the most dangerous animatronic and hides in the darkness, he has two jump scares, one regularly and one when you don't have any power left.
In the second game Freddy is broken and withered like the other animatronics. He starts in the Parts and Service room and is active night 2 onwards.

- So far, throughout the whole series Freddy Fazbear has the most counterparts. Them being Toy Freddy, Golden Freddy, Shadow Freddy and Phantom Freddy
- Freddy (besides BB) is the only animatronic to emit a human noise
- Freddy, along with Springtrap have the most jump scares in their respectable games
